Wow… it has been quite a while since I last posted something on here. I think the last post was actually from (secretly looks at the date)… November 2021… so almost 3 years ago. A lot has happened since then. I took a bit of a hiatus from creating YouTube content and also took a break from streaming on Twitch in 2023. But I’ve been streaming again for a while now and am still loving it! And now I wanted to share something I created for my stream with all of you guys, so I figured, why not make a video on that as well. And then ADHD hyperfocus kicked in and I wanted to add it to the website too since well… let’s keep everything organized neatly right?
Anyway, what is this widget all about? Well, you know how it’s always a great thing when someone subscribes to your Twitch channel right? The fact that people not only take time out of their day to watch your content, but *also* want to support you with a bit of money, is just wonderful. There’s a ton of different alerts that you can use to announce and celebrate Twitch subs. But this widget takes things to the next level.
Inspired by a video from fellow Twitch streamer Nutty, I came up with this digital sub printer. Basically the idea is simple; whenever someone subscribes to you on Twitch, their sub gets printed on a digital receipt. Just like the ones you get in the grocery store. Then it gets automatically posted to a Discord channel where everyone can see and download it.
As with all my widgets and effects, you can get this one on my Ko-Fi store. Either for free, or you can pay what you want if you want to support me a little bit. In the video below I show you how to download, install and set up this widget for your own streams. We’ll be using OBS Studio as well as Streamer.bot to control everything.
